Katie Marie. Author. Reader. Dreamer.

Katie Marie is an Arkansas-based author of young adult fantasy, including her debut novel, Saving Zora, and upcoming desert fantasy novel temporally called Project Sand. She has dozens of story ideas and WIPs whirling through her head all the time from fantasy, to dystopian and steamp-punk, to even contemporary romance!

 

Writing has been her passion since she was ten-years-old, and when she was fourteen Katie won a short story contest at her local library. Since then she has been typing away on her books, first on an old, old laptop, then an iPad for several years, and now on a MacBook. Katie spends most of her time writing and comes alive when she's typing away at the stories, worlds, and characters in her imagination.

Katie's work reflects her faith in God and Jesus with it either interwoven naturally in her books or, for the ones that don't specifically mention God, have messages such as redemption and forgiveness. It is her hope that she doesn't preach to her readers but simply shows them that, without God, she, her books, and her characters are nothing.

Katie also enjoys reading, embroidering, reading, cuddling her five cats, reading, and being with friends and family. Though most of the time she's at her desk writing away on her books (when she can pull away from the newest book that's captured her attention).
