My first series recommendation is Melanie Dickerson's Christian, historical fairytale retelling series, known as her Hagenheim series. There's 11 books, all standalone, but I'd recommend reading them in order to get the best experience.

The Merchant's Daughter– a Beauty and the Beast retelling
The Fairest Beauty– a Snow White Retelling
The Captive Maiden– a Cinderella retelling
The Princess Spy– a The Frog Prince retelling
The Golden Braid– a Rapunzel retelling
The Silent Songbird– a Little Mermaid retelling
The Orphan's Wish– an Aladdin retelling
The Warrior Maiden– a Mulan retelling
The Piper's Pursuit– a Pipe Piper retelling
The Peasant's Dream– a reversed, or gender bent, Cinderella retelling
The Healer's Apprentice is about Rose and Wilhelm, The Merchant's Daughter is about Annabel and Ranulf, and the rest of the books are about their children. I love how they're connected, and you get to see characters from previous books in the others!
I absolutely LOVE these books, and can't recommend them enough!! The later ones aren't the best, but they're still worth the read. My favorites are The Healer's Apprentice, The Merchant's Daughter, The Captive Maiden, The Warrior Maiden, and The Piper's Pursuit, but they're all good. XD
Every one of these books have beautiful romance, intriguing plots, impactful messages of faith, humor, amazing Medieval history, and are all completely clean!
